Sip & Stretch: Because Yoga Should Be Fun Too
Leesa Olive | MAY 29

Not every yoga class needs to be silent, serious or filled with perfectly matched activewear and whispered breathing
Sometimes yoga can simply be about moving your body, having a laugh and slowing down with good people around you.
That’s pretty much the vibe behind Sip & Stretch.
Over the years, I’ve found some of the best moments at yoga retreats and ladies weekends away aren’t always the scheduled yoga sessions. They’re the chats over dinner, sunset drinks, laughing until your stomach hurts and those moments where everyone finally relaxes properly.
Sip & Stretch fits right into that.
It’s gentle, relaxed yoga with a fun little twist… yes, there’s actual sipping involved throughout class
Think gentle stretches, balance poses that suddenly become far more entertaining with a wine in hand, lots of laughter and absolutely zero pressure to take yourself too seriously.
It’s not about perfect poses or being the “best” at yoga. It’s about moving your body, unwinding from the week and enjoying yourself along the way.
And honestly? Sometimes wellness should feel fun too.
One of the things I love most is watching people relax almost instantly. The nerves disappear, the laughter starts and suddenly everyone remembers yoga doesn’t have to feel intimidating.
That same relaxed energy flows into my retreats too.
My retreats have never been about strict wellness schedules or forcing people to do yoga at sunrise every day. If someone wants to attend every session, beautiful. If someone wants to sleep in, read a book, swim, nap or simply join us later for happy hour, that’s perfect too.
Because sometimes slowing down looks like meditation and quiet time.
And other times it looks like yoga with a wine in hand surrounded by good people
Both count.
Until next time, sip slowly, stretch gently and laugh often.
